Aethos Solutions LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Skyyn mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, age range, skin type, and primary goal when you create an account.
  • Photos: Selfie images you submit for scoring. Photos are processed server-side, retained in your private account storage to enable scan history and before-and-after comparisons, and permanently deleted when you delete your account. See Section 3 for details.
  • Subscription Information: Purchase history is managed through Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not directly collect payment card information.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for App Check verification.
  • Usage Data: App feature usage, scan frequency, and session data to improve the App experience.
  • Crash Data: Anonymized crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics to maintain App stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Score Generation: Photos are analyzed by our AI system to generate your Skyyn Score and four sub-scores (Glow, Texture, Pores, Evenness). These scores reflect visible aesthetic features in your photo.
  • Personalization: Your skin type, age range, and goals help tailor insights and routines.
  • App Improvement: Anonymized, aggregated data helps us improve scoring accuracy and App features.
  • Communication: We may send push notifications about scan reminders, routine updates, and account information. You can disable notifications in your device settings.

3. Photo Processing and Storage

When you take a scan, your photo is:

  • Uploaded securely to our servers via encrypted connection (TLS 1.2+).
  • Processed by our AI system to generate aesthetic scores.
  • Stored in your private account storage so you can view scan history and before-and-after comparisons.

Scan photos are retained for the lifetime of your account to enable progress tracking and photo comparison features. When you delete your account, all photos are permanently removed. We do not use your photos for any purpose other than generating your Skyyn Score and enabling your personal scan history. Photos are never shared with third parties or used for advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) infrastructure with the following protections:

  • Encryption at rest and in transit.
  • Firebase App Check verification on all requests to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Firestore security rules that isolate user data — you can only access your own records.
  • Server-side only writes for scores and AI-generated content — these cannot be modified from your device.

5. Data Retention

  • Photos: Retained while your account is active to support scan history and before-and-after comparisons. Permanently deleted when you delete your account.
  • Scan Scores and Insights: Retained while your account is active to enable progress tracking.
  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active.
  • Post-Deletion: When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 90 days.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, storage, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
  • Google Cloud AI: Image analysis for score generation. Photos are processed in accordance with Google Cloud's data processing terms and are not retained by Google.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play: Subscription management and payment processing.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

7. Children's Privacy

Skyyn is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@skyyn.app.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Export your scan history and scores.
  • Opt out of push notifications via device settings.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@skyyn.app or use the account deletion feature within the App.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the App at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Affiliate Links

The App may include a "Shop" section that displays third-party products available on Amazon.com. Skyyn participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. When you tap a product in the Shop, you are redirected to Amazon's website. Amazon receives your IP address, device information, and navigation context in accordance with Amazon's own privacy policy, which is independent of ours.

Skyyn receives anonymized commission data from Amazon when a redirect results in a qualifying purchase, but we do not receive your individual purchase details, payment information, or shipping information. We do not share any of your Skyyn account data with Amazon.
