Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Skyyn mobile app and the skyyn.app website (together, the "Service"), operated by Aethos Solutions LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the Service you agree to them.
1. What Skyyn is
Skyyn is a personal skincare assistant. It analyses selfie photographs to produce a Skyyn Score from 0 to 100 and four sub-scores (Luminosity, Microtexture, Pore Visibility and Tone Uniformity), tracks those scores over time, and provides a routine builder, a product shelf with label reports, and an AI assistant called Skyyn Coach.
Skyyn is not a medical device and is not a substitute for a dermatologist or any other healthcare professional. Readings reflect what is visible in your photo. They are not a medical diagnosis, and nothing in the Service is medical advice. Skyyn does not prescribe treatments or medication.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf.
3. Your account
- You sign in with Apple, Google or an emailed code. You are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in method secure.
- One account per person. Give accurate information when you set it up.
- Tell us at support@skyyn.app straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Free tier, Skyyn Pro and payment
Free tier
The free tier includes one completed face scan in any 7-day period, your Skyyn Score, score history, a share card, and limited use of the routine and shelf features. We may change what the free tier includes.
Skyyn Pro
- Price. In the United States: $49.99 per year, $9.99 per month or $5.99 per week. Prices in other countries are set by the App Store and Google Play and shown in your currency before you buy.
- Free trial. Only the weekly plan has a free trial, which lasts 3 days. The annual and monthly plans are charged when you subscribe. If you cancel the weekly plan at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you are not charged.
- Renewal. Every plan renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in effect, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Cancelling. Cancel in your Apple Account or Google Play subscription settings. You keep Skyyn Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not give refunds for part of a period.
- Offers. We may offer a discounted first period to some subscribers. An offer applies once, and the plan then renews at the standard price shown with the offer.
- Price changes. If we change a price, Apple or Google will tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
Who takes payment
All payments are taken by Apple or Google under their own terms. We never receive your card details. Refund requests are decided by Apple or Google. Deleting your Skyyn account does not cancel a subscription.
Invitations
If someone you invite completes their first scan, you may earn free time on Skyyn Pro and other rewards as described in the app at that time. Rewards have no cash value. We may withhold them where an invitation is not genuine.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit a photo of another person without their permission;
- submit content that is unlawful, sexually explicit or that you have no right to use;
- try to manipulate your scores, or misrepresent a score as something it is not;
- use the Service to make medical decisions for yourself or anyone else;
- reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the Service, or get around its security or usage limits;
- access the Service with bots, scrapers or other automated tools;
- use the Service for anything illegal, harmful or fraudulent.
6. Your content and ours
- Yours. You own the photos, notes and other content you submit. You give us permission to store and process them, and to send them to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy, only to provide the Service to you. That permission ends when the content is deleted.
- Ours. The app, its design, code, scoring methods, text and the Skyyn name and logo belong to Aethos Solutions LLC and are protected by law.
- Your results. You may share your scores and score cards for personal, non-commercial purposes.
7. AI-generated content
Scores, observations, label reports, routine suggestions, recaps and Skyyn Coach answers are produced by automated systems, including third-party AI models. They can be wrong. Label reports are read from a photograph and may misread a label, so always check the product itself. Routine suggestions are ideas, not instructions. You are responsible for what you put on your skin.
8. Disclaimers
- Scores vary with photo quality, lighting, camera angle and time of day.
- A score does not measure the health of your skin and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
- We do not promise that your scores will improve.
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
9. Products and Amazon links
The Discover section of the app shows third-party products with links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We have not tested, reviewed or endorsed these products and make no promise about their suitability, safety or effect. Any purchase is between you and Amazon or the seller, under their terms. The same applies to products you add to your own shelf or routine: Skyyn does not review or recommend them.
10. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Aethos Solutions LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service, your reliance on any score or AI-generated content, unauthorised access to your account, or the conduct or content of any third party. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Aethos Solutions LLC and its officers, employees and agents against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs that arise from your breach of these terms or your infringement of someone else's rights.
12. Ending your account
- By you. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, or by emailing support@skyyn.app. Deletion erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
- By us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used fraudulently, or where the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you keep any mandatory protections of the law where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We will tell you about material changes by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the changed terms.
15. Language
These terms are written in English. Translations are provided for convenience. If a translation and the English version differ, the English version governs, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
