Simply take a front-facing selfie and the app provides a "Skyyn Score" — an honest 0-100 number reflecting what the camera actually sees in your photo — along with individual scores for four focus areas: Luminosity, Microtexture, Pore Visibility, and Tone Uniformity. You can also scan or upload product labels to get informational routine-fit reports based on visible label text, ingredients, shelf context, and your latest Skyyn reading.

Skyyn is a **personal skincare assistant — not a dermatologist or medical device**. Readings reflect what's visible in your photo, not a diagnosis. Skyyn may suggest gentle routine habits based on your scans, but never prescriptions or treatment.

Skyyn is score-forward: get your number, then beat it. Every scan leads with the Skyyn Score and connects it to a trackable glow up through focus areas, routines, daily tips, sharing, and week-by-week comparison. Scores are not inflated or calibrated to flatter.

## How it works

1. Take a front-facing selfie in natural light (no filters, no makeup).
2. AI analyses your photo and gives a Skyyn Score (0-100), plus four sub-scores (Luminosity, Microtexture, Pore Visibility, Tone Uniformity).
3. Product label reports summarise visible ingredients and routine-fit context.
4. Weekly scans are compared to your previous results, showing what’s changed, in which focus area, and by how many points.

## The four focus areas

- **Luminosity** — how light catches your skin. Brightness and plumpness.
- **Microtexture** — how smooth and clear your skin’s surface looks at a glance.
- **Pore Visibility** — how noticeable your pores are across your face.
- **Tone Uniformity** — how consistent and even your skin’s visible tone appears.

The free tier includes one completed scan per rolling 7 days, your Skyyn Score, one insight per scan, score history, and shareable score cards. Skyyn Pro adds unlimited scans and the full feature set.

## Product label reports

Product label reports scan visible label text and ingredients from a photo or upload. Skyyn then summarises the ingredient context, shelf overlap, and where the product might fit next to your latest Skyyn read. Reports are informational and may be inaccurate; always check the actual product label.
